Online payments are the preferred method for funding your student’s meal account. The online payment portal is secure, quick and easy to use, and offers additional benefits such as optional low balance e-mails and details on cafeteria purchases. Alternately, you may send a check to replenish your student’s account. We encourage use of the online payment portal or check – cash can also be accepted but discouraged at the elementary grade levels. Prepaid monies deposited by any method are available for any purchases in the cafeteria. You do have the ability to restrict account funds, so they are only used for full meal purchases and/or to set limits on non-meal purchases. Please contact your food service director if you would like to learn more.
Fresh Picks Cafe never denies any student a full, nutritious meal. We do follow your school board approved meal charging policy and school administration approved procedures. Every student will always be provided with a full meal, but snack and a la carte items are only available when a student’s food service account has a positive balance or when the student has cash in hand.
We work with your school administration to ensure that communication of student account balance information is timely, compassionate and respectful of your family’s privacy. Methods of communication for meal program accounts with negative balances could include regular notifications by e-mail, mail and/or telephone.
